India-based REVA manufactures electric city cars at their facility in Bangalore.  They are currently the number one selling maker of electric vehicles and have produced more cars than any other electric car company.  The cars they make feature a 3-door hatchback body style and utilize lead-acid batteries.

REVAs are designed for densely populated slow speed urban areas and are therefore ideal for the crowded streets on India’s largest cities.  REVA’s are available for export to the US and may be used as Neighborhood Electric vehicles there.  They sell for a little less than 16,00 US dollars.
